Do’s Don’ts
Visit your endodontist if you feel any further pain after the treatment. Besides, you should not forget to take the doctor’s prescribed medicines. Must go for a follow-up treatment. Avoid curd and rice as it increases post-surgery pain.
Stay alert at the time of brushing or flossing your tooth. Do not go for crunchy or hard foods. Eating such foods might hamper the temporary filling. This filling seals the tooth till the time permanent filling is not done. Hard food can damage the temporary filling or the entire tooth. For more safety, do not try to chew crunchy food till the time final restoration is done.
Take antibiotics to avoid any kind of infection during and after this treatment. Till the time crown is placed, you should stop putting pressure on that side of the tooth. Otherwise, it will damage the filling.
Drink fruit juice to avoid any kind of tooth cramps. Quit smoking if you’re a regular or occasional smoker. As this habit can damage your tooth and treatment done on the tooth.
Take oral painkiller to ease out post-treatment phase. Avoid any kind of hot or cold drink as your tooth remains extremely sensitive.
Saline water gargle is good for treating any pain related to the tooth. Avoid soda or any kind of aerated drink.
